Empowering Communities Through Technology: A Dual Impact Initiative for Healing and Growth

Purpose goes beyond just a statement – it’s embedded in how we operate, grow, and give back to our communities. Guided by our core values and ESG commitments, we believe technology should not only drive business success but also uplift lives and empower communities.
 

This was exemplified during the Cribs Digital Transformation: Heal and Empower Workshop on 30 March 2025, held as part of our Women's Month celebrations. Spearheaded by our Operations and Strategy Group in close collaboration with the People and Culture team, the initiative underscored our commitment to Empowerment, Integrity, Excellence, and Social Responsibility, helping to bridge opportunity gaps and foster inclusivity – aligning with global aspirations for education, gender equality and social progress. 
 

Dual Impact: Empowering Girls, Enabling Nonprofits
Designed for inclusive and sustainable outcomes, the program delivered meaningful impact on two fronts:

• For young girls aged 9 and up: Using digital tools for self-affirmation exercises and inspiring positivity, the session fostered resilience, self-confidence, and creativity. In today’s digital world, these skills are vital for expression, connection, and self-esteem. The healing-centered approach acknowledged the importance of emotional well-being, creating a safe and supportive space to learn and grow.

• For the Cribs Foundation staff: A hands-on Digital Transformation Workshop equipped the team with tools to enhance operational efficiency and amplify digital advocacy.

​​Technology with Purpose: Creating Meaningful, Lasting Impact

It should uplift communities and unlock opportunities for every generation,” said Chrissie Legaspi, Head of Operations and Strategy of STT GDC Philippines. “This initiative reflects how strategy, when grounded in purpose and carried out through collaboration, can create real and lasting impact. Together, we are building more than digital capability. We are building hope, resilience, and a future where no one is left behind.”
 

To sustain the impact of the training, we also extended support in the form of donating:

• Desktop Computer, Tablets with stylus pens – Enabling continued access to digital tools and learning resources

• Scrapbooking and art materials – Supporting emotional expression and creativity

• Proceeds from Declutter for a Cause – An internal garage sale that turned employee generosity into direct community support.

These contributions will go towards developing future generations and empowering them with additional resources.

Celebrating Healing Through Connection
The day culminated in a joyful celebration, complete with an inflatable playground, shared meals, and building meaningful moments and shared connections between volunteers and residents.

The success of this initiative is a testament to our culture in motion – where collaboration turns purpose into impact. While the Operations and Strategy Group led the charge, its success was driven by passionate employee-volunteers across the organization.
