Our data centres in Chennai adhere to all design principles of resiliency and are TIA 942-rated 3 compliant. The STT Chennai 1, our facility in VSB, covers 80,000 sq. ft. with a total IT load capacity of 2.5MW. With its state-of-the-art fire suppression system and biometric access, it provides unmatched security conditions. Our larger Ambattur facility, STT Chennai 2, is LEED Gold certified and India’s largest data centre in the production environment with a total power capacity of 25.5MW of IT load. Its 6-layered 24/7 security system provides high-level physical security to some of the world’s leading cloud players. A comprehensive CRAC cooling system with 2.7 million litres of water storage is employed to secure the data.

Keeping with our promise of sustainability, over 60% of our Ambattur Data Centre Campus in Chennai is to be powered by green power, including 250 KW through onsite solar power generation and balance through open access. Besides our STT Chennai 2, Ambattur also houses another STT facility – our STT Chennai 3 with IT Load Capacity of 15 MW.

Our newly launched STT Chennai 7 is a carrier-neutral data centre at SIPCOT IT Park, Siruseri, offering 7.2 MW of IT load capacity with a 99.982% availability SLA. The AI-ready data centre is designed with air-cooled chillers featuring N+1 redundancy and a robust power infrastructure with dual utility sources and an N+2 diesel generator configuration. Adding to our network, STT Chennai 4 is under development in the Ambattur area and will add 18 MW of IT capacity upon completion.
