Senior Manager, Finance (Tax)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, Finance (Tax), you will manage the full spectrum of tax (direct and indirect) for the entities in the Group. This includes involvement in M&A, BEPS Pillar 2, transfer pricing and any other relevant aspects in the always evolving and changing tax landscape. You will also provide tax advice and timely support to internal stakeholders across various functions and projects.

 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day tax affairs of the business, with the aim to minimise tax risks and adopt tax practices that are consistent with the overall Group's business objectives.
  • Responsible for reviewing and ensuring the timely submission of the various tax returns e.g. corporate tax, GST, withholding tax, CbCR, GloBE returns, transfer pricing documents and any other compliance matters as necessary
  • Ensure effective tax planning for capital allowance claims and tax incentives, collaborate with external contractors, tax advisors, the wider finance team and other relevant departments.
  • Ensure proper capex records and classification and maintain compliance with any relevant statutory reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with IRAS or other governmental bodies, and external advisers on all corporate taxation matters and queries
  • Work closely with external auditors during the year-end audit process
  • Support on all taxation matters within the Group, which includes withholding taxes, property taxes, GST, transfer pricing guidelines, etc.
  • Monitor the tax legislation and assessing the impact to the Group.
  • Any other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accountancy or any related field with professional accounting qualifications, e.g. ACCA certification.
  • At least 12 years of relevant working experience, with minimum of 9 years of corporate tax experience in Big 4.
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial experience in related roles.
  • Candidates with MNC background will be an added advantage
  • Good knowledge of wider international tax issues is required.
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Good time management and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive team player who demonstrates strong ownership and great attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
